Competence Management Consulting in cooperation with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) conducted dissemination webinars on 28^th and 29^th of September/2020 to discuss the results and recommendations of Enhancing Value-Added Production and Export in Jordan’s dates and dead sea products subsectors study that aimed to enhance the competitiveness and export prospects of SMEs in the previous mentioned subsectors in Jordan, contributing to improving trade opportunities between Jordan and other high value markets such as the EU. This study was funded by the European Union under the EBRD’s Trade and Competitiveness Programme, which supports SMEs in Jordan, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia to invest in new technologies and establish stronger value chains.

The webinars brought together participants from the private sector, Jordanian chambers of industry, major international development institutions, and donors who are active in the country and gave the chance to an open public-private dialogue between the participants to discuss the main challenges that hinder the growth of these subsectors along with the main recommendations that were presented by Competence Management Consulting to improve the current situation as an attempt to achieve considerable growth in the mentioned subsectors.

Competence Management Consulting in collaboration with JODA (Jordan Dates Association) developed a market positioning strategy for the Jordanian Dates sector (Medjool in particular) to penetrate the global market, which was delivered in June 2020.

In collaboration with CBI and JEPA, CMC have conducted a new workshop for Export development for the FFV Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (FFV) sector in Jordan in July 2020. During the workshop, Mr. Adnan Ziadat and Mr. Emad Hanna trained and coached the participants to build and develop their Export market plans to the Gulf market. CMC team is already following and coaching many companies from different sectors to enhance and develop their Export performance.
